Open Day - Saturday 19th May 2001

Come for a trial sail on the most picturesque stretch of water in the South East of England (Foot and mouth emergency permitting).

27th March 2001 - Foot and Mouth Crisis Update

The Club is to re-open on Good Friday 13th April 2001

Your club will open again on Easter Friday 13th April. We are giving a couple of weeks notice so that members can get geared up for it.

Thanks for your forbearance whilst we monitored the situation. Fortunately - as I write -Weir Wood remains a non-infected area, although things can change, so please stay alert.

Please check your revised Duty Rota (enclosed with latest Club Magazine) and ensure you diarise as appropriate. 

If you have not yet sent in your membership renewal, PLEASE ACTION IT NOW. Your club needs YOU, your BOAT, and your SUBSCRIPTION.

Between now and the 13th April, you can visit the Club to check your boat and get it shipshape and ready to start sailing again. But please leave your car in the car park and stay on the recognised walkways.

NOTE: Until we get a National all clear, all scheduled Open Meetings at the Club remain cancelled or postponed.

5th March 2001 - Foot and Mouth Crisis

The Club is closed until further notice.

The following restrictions are in force:

• The water is closed for sailing
• The Clubhouse is closed.
• No boat should be brought to the Club.
• If you must take your boat away (eg for an Open Meeting or repairs), then do so with care but DO NOT bring it back until the "Allclear" has been notified.

The "Allclear" will be notified on this website, and by post or by e-mail.

Those members rostered for duties for the weekend 10/11th March and therafter until further notice will stand down. All duties will be re-rostered for later dates.
