Sailing Committee
The sailing committee is responsible for the racing and cruising programme, duty rota, open meetings, sending out duty reminders and generally ensuring everyone has a good time sailing.
We are always on the lookout for offers of help, so please do speak up if you can help in anyway. We meet around once a quarter and between times much of the sailing committee's business is progressed informally at the club and by e-mail.
We aim to have Fleet Captains from each of the "recommended classes", plus a representative of the Handicap and Laser Fleets. Anyone can join in and help, the only requirements are to have an enthusiasm for sailing or windsurfing and a willingness to put something back into the sport.
A fleet captain's role is to encourage the growth and fun in the fleet and to organise the annual open.
The committee currently comprises:

Sailing Secretary David Giles
David is the clubs sailing secretary. He is there to co-ordinate and facilitate the clubs sailing and sailing committee. He is also the sailing committee's representative on the main committee. David has a wealth of sailing experience and holds many National, European and World Sailing titles.
