Optimist Hire Boats  

Weir Wood has a fleet of Optibats (plastic Optimist style boats) and 2 Optimists for use by club members.  6 of these are normally allocated for use on the beginners’ course with 2 others available for hire.

The boats are intended to bridge the gap until members can obtain their own boats. Accordingly priority will be given to those who have recently completed beginners’ courses at Weir Wood. Subject to availability they are then available for use by other members.

Boats are only available for use during normal Oppy Club operating times and a nominal charge of £5.00 per session per boat will be levied to help cover maintenance costs. Please note that you must be a member of WWSC in order to use these boats.
