Weir Wood Cruising NEWS |

We have had an active summer with cruises to the Isle of Wight (twice) and to the Beaulieu River, two boats went to Chichester Harbour in September and a single boat expedition (which still counts as a cruise) was conducted on the Medway at Gillingham by our resident mudlarks, Martin and Peter.
Adult Cobnor was a great success again this year. Introducing some new faces to cruising in Chichester Harbour. On the Saturday we cruised all the way to Emsworth for lunch, before returning to Cobnor after a stop off at East Head for a drink and sticky bun.
Cruising need not stop for the winter but I imagine most of us prefer to be tucked up by the fireside when the weather turns colder. So while you are sitting in the warm, have a think about what you want to do next year. I still have not used my boat tent, so anyone fancying an overnighter; even if it is only at the club, let me know on cruising@wwsc.org.uk
If you are interested in joining us please e-mail by clicking the 'E-mail us @ Cruising' button, bottom left.
If anyone has an idea or preference of places they would like to cruise please let us know. At present the possibilities are the Medway, Chichester Harbour, Poole Harbour, the Lake District and a return to the Solent, tides permitting going westwards to Newtown, Lymington or Beaulieu.
