On the 1st March Commodore Tony Carter, Sailing Secretary Neil Peters, John Chisnall and David Whensley attended the RYA National Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace for the RYA Club of the Year Awards. There Tony and Neil received Weir Wood's award as one of the sailing clubs chosen by the RYA as "Sailing Club of the Year 2008" finalist.
